Shipping & Receiving Associate Position Summary The Shipping & Receiving Associate is responsible for the accurate and efficient shipping, receiving, and inventory management of materials and products. This role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment.
Pay Range:
$18-$21 per hour Key Responsibilities Shipping Pick, pack, and ship customer orders accurately and on time. Create shipping labels and documentation using ERP and carrier systems (UPS, FedEx, USPS, etc.). Verify shipments, prepare pallets, schedule carrier pickups, and obtain freight quotes as needed. Complete daily shipping activities and reports. Receiving Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips. Enter received items into inventory and stock materials in designated locations. Resolve discrepancies with purchasing and production teams. Maintain an organized receiving area. General Perform data entry, inventory transactions, and routine cycle counts. Communicate shipping or receiving issues with internal teams. Follow all safety and quality procedures. Maintain a clean, organized work area and assist with other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of shipping and receiving experience, preferably in manufacturing. Experience with shipping software (UPS, FedEx, USPS) and inventory systems. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently. Reliable, adaptable, and customer-focused. Forklift certification or willingness to obtain preferred. Physical Requirements Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and 25 lbs. frequently. Ability to stand, walk, and operate warehouse equipment. Comfortable working in a manufacturing warehouse with varying noise, dust, and temperatures.
