SHIPPING CLERK

Monday-Friday:

8:00am-5:00pm; PLUS every other Saturday, 8:00am-1:30pm.

Purpose:

Responsible for

FULL-CYCLE SHIPPING

. Meaning, the complete process of shipping involving several key stages: from pulling, counting, packaging, weighing, creating labels, staging, palletizing, using online shipping sites to arrange pickups/deliveries, completing shipping paperwork and loading shipments.

Ideal Candidate:

Has experience using a Stand-Up Order Picker in a racking system warehouse. Is safety conscious; has a Can-Do attitude/Team-Player mentality; and has good listening and time management skills.

Requirements:

• Can communicate well in English (read/write/speak)
• Minimum of 2 years Full-Cycle Shipping experience
• Able to operate any of the following industrial equipment: Stand-Up Order Picker/Cherry Picker and Sit-Down Lift
• Is computer literate : comfortable typing, emailing, printing labels
• Has experience using FedEx Manager, UPS WorldShip , and USPS online software
• Comfortable using WMS/ERP system software (Sage 100 is a PLUS !)
• Able to lift/carry/push/pull at least 50 lbs . on a regular basis
• Strength and stamina are needed to routinely pick up and move heavy items
• Must have good listening and follow through skills; is able to follow oral instructions
• Able to work daily overtime if needed
• Regular attendance and punctuality are required; must have reliable transportation

Responsibilities :

• Operates industrial equipment such as Order Picker, Reach Truck and Sit-Down Forklift to assist in pulling, staging and loading shipments
• Assembles crates, cartons and boxes to ship parts
• Identifies, picks, packs, labels, weighs and enters shipping data into online shipping software
• Loads shipments onto pallets and vehicles by hand
• Expected to ship an average of 80-100 packages a day
• May operate Sealed-Air foam making/packaging machine
• May assist with inventory control and cycle counts
• Follows safety guidelines regarding industrial truck safety
• Supports and follows warehouse safety procedures and regulations
• Keeps work area clean
• Other warehouse duties as assigned

Pay:

$21.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 55.0 per week
