Job Description
Shipping and Receiving Clerk needed in Sorrento Valley area. 1st shift 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday $22-$23/hr. DOE 3 month temporary contract assignment Weekly pay
Duties:
- Compare identifying information and count, weigh, or measure items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. Identifies discrepancies
- Coordinate with Freight Company for shipments too large for parcel pickup
- Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons
- Assembles and/or selects reassembled containers
- Stamps, stencils, or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers
- Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, reports damaged items, and records shortages.
- Examines outgoing shipments to ensure paperwork and equipment match and meets customer requirements.
