Typical shifts begin at 4:00 a.m., when our first trucks arrive. Candidates must be able to reliably report to work at 4:00 a.m. for scheduled delivery shifts. Previous receiving, stocking, and merchandising experience is required. This is a physically demanding, fast-paced position for someone who shows up on time, is ready to work, communicates effectively with leadership, and understands the importance of getting the job done. Our goal is to have the majority of incoming product stocked, merchandised, and customer-ready before our doors open at 8:00 a.m. This requires a strong sense of urgency and the ability to move product quickly and efficiently while maintaining accuracy and following all safety procedures. Responsibilities Report to work at 4:00 a.m. for scheduled truck deliveries Assist our Receiving Manager with incoming deliveries Unload, break down, sort, and organize incoming product Quickly and efficiently move product from receiving areas to the sales floor Stock shelves, coolers, freezers, and displays Merchandise product so the store is full, organized, and customer-ready Help ensure the majority of incoming product is worked to the sales floor before the store opens at 8:00 a.m. Rotate product properly and maintain organized backstock Work in refrigerated and freezer environments as required Identify damaged, missing, or incorrectly delivered product Maintain clean and organized receiving, backroom, freezer, and storage areas Safely operate pallet jacks and other approved equipment Communicate effectively with the Receiving Manager and store leadership Assist with additional stocking, merchandising, and store priorities after deliveries are completed Follow all workplace safety, food safety, lifting, and equipment procedures at all times Required Qualifications Previous receiving experience Previous stocking experience Previous merchandising experience Ability to reliably report to work at 4:00 a.m. for scheduled delivery shifts Strong sense of urgency and ability to work quickly and efficiently Ability to be on your feet for the majority of the shift Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation Ability to repeatedly bend, reach, lift, push, pull, carry, and move product throughout the shift Ability to work in refrigerated and freezer environments Ability to safely break down pallets and move product throughout the store Strong attendance, punctuality, and reliability Ability to communicate effectively with leadership and coworkers (bilingual preferred but not required) Ability to follow direction and stay productive without constant supervision Commitment to following all safety procedures at all times Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays Pallet jack experience is strongly preferred. Receiving is one of the most important parts of our morning operation. When trucks arrive at 4:00 a.m., there is a limited amount of time to break down deliveries, organize product, stock the sales floor, and have the store ready for customers by 8:00 a.m. The right person understands the importance of speed, productivity, teamwork, and reliability . You should be able to maintain a strong pace without sacrificing accuracy or safety.
