Job Description
We are a Commercial Door, Frame, and Hardware Distribution company. The Material Management Associate will assist, administer and maintain control of (and movement of) all incoming and outgoing materials in the company. Examples of Work Performed Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries Documents any visible damages to products prior to signing receipt Ensures accuracy of counts and places products in designated areas by following our scanning and put- away processes Promptly identify and report damaged or incorrect received goods All received and QC'd materials should be promptly labeled by following our company labeling process Ensure there is an accurate Purchase Order and an accurate Packing Slip from Vendor to be given to Accounting Department for proper invoice tracking Research current outstanding purchase orders, back-orders, and receipts in system Assist in the handling, matching and disbursement of acknowledgements and invoices to determine their accuracy and correctness of price Input receipt of goods into computer system while verifying accuracy of receiving departments documents Works closely with purchasing clerks to ensure shelf stock accuracy (location, bin numbers, descriptions, etc.) Assist with accuracy of Inventory by ensuring all shipping and receiving is properly tracked in the system Responsible for working with all Warehouse Teams to ensure accurate and timely shipping and receiving of all subcontract work materials and finished products. Pulling material, packing it properly on pallets, and loading it on trucks for outgoing deliveries Ensure outgoing jobs have been inspected for order accuracy by completing outgoing Quality Control Monitor and provide outgoing quality assurance for the finished product, and delivery date deadlines necessary for each contract. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to maintain good relations with fellow employees and customers Knowledge of spreadsheets, word processing, unit of measurements, price conversions, percentages Must have some experience with computer input Have good verbal and written communication skills Must be a self-motivating individual with good time management skills Learned proficiency in ERP and other programs utilized at the company Strong sense of time organization and urgency Experience with shipping and receiving processes
