00 per hour Job Summary We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our Operations Team. This position is responsible for weighing incoming trucks, creating and verifying shipping and receiving documentation, inspecting incoming goods and materials, and helping maintain accurate inventory records. This role also supports yard inventory management, proper storage and staging of materials, and the safe, efficient flow of product throughout the facility.

Essential Job Functions:

• Create, receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments of raw materials against purchase orders using our ERP system.
• Operate truck scales to record gross, tare, bin and net weights of incoming fruit trailers.
• Calculate and record precise net weight data to determine exact fruit volume by weighing and updating tare weights for empty trailers.
• Record all pertinent receipt data in the company's ERP system, including lot numbers, grower or supplier information, product condition, weights, production dates, and receipt times.
• Ensure all received raw materials are properly identified and labeled per company standards.
• Coordinate with QA and Production to prioritize unloading and minimize delays or product exposure.
• Direct truck traffic and coordinate with yard goat drivers and forklift operators to guide drivers to designated unloading areas.
• Monitor yard layout and recommend improvements for better space utilization, shipment staging, and safety.
• Assist with loading and unloading goods, materials, and equipment using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other yard equipment as necessitated.
• Coordinate with shipping logistics to create purchase orders for deliveries and pickups, ensuring timely dispatches.
• Maintain accurate records of incoming goods, discrepancies, damaged items, and receiving activities, and report any concerns to management personnel.
• Perform routine inventory counts and assist with cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Support traceability, mock recalls, audits, and inspections by maintaining complete, accurate, and legible receiving records.
• Oversee bin management by identifying and staging company-owned, grower, and packing house bins; ensuring empty field bins and other industry materials are accurately documented, properly staged, cleaned, and prepared for return to growers or packing houses.
• Maintain clean, organized, and food-safe receiving docks, staging areas, and scale house workspaces.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all company Food Safety and Safety policies and procedures.
• Consistently wear required PPE and follow established traffic control and material handling practices to ensure a safe and efficient workplace.
• Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
• High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent 1 year work experience in a warehouse or inventory role.
• Proficiency with industrial scale systems and inventory management software (ERP), with basic mathematical skills for calculating weight differences.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook for daily email communication and calendar scheduling, with strong basic computer skills including file navigation and data entry.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills to coordinate effectively with truck drivers, yard personnel, QA and Production Management.
• High level of accuracy in data entry, strong organizational skills, and the ability to identify fruit quality defects or foreign materials.
• Basic knowledge of yard operations and material handling equipment.
• Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other yard machinery is highly preferred but not required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are highly preferred but not required. Physical Activity Requirements
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently, stand or walk for extended periods, and safely bend, crouch or reach to move inventory or collect fruit samples as needed.
• Ability to transition between sitting and standing to greet and attend delivery trucks. Working Conditions
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with exposure to outdoor weather conditions (heat, cold, dust, rain) and wet processing areas.
