Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will oversee the accurate and efficient processing of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring that inventory is properly managed and that all logistics operations run smoothly. Your expertise in warehouse management systems, inventory control, and shipping logistics will contribute to maintaining seamless warehouse distribution and order fulfillment processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be a key player in our supply chain operations, supporting customer satisfaction and operational excellence. Pay $20 an hour/ Paid Weekly Monday through Friday Must have Shipping Clerk experience Must be able to speak Spanish Duties Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders using warehouse management systems and inventory management software. Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, labeling, and ensuring proper documentation in compliance with trade regulations and international trade standards. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, and other warehouse equipment safely to load and unload trucks efficiently. Maintain accurate data entry of shipment details, inventory levels, and stock movements within ERP systems such as AS400 or similar platforms. Coordinate with carriers for shipping logistics, scheduling pickups, and tracking deliveries to ensure timely order fulfillment. Conduct regular inventory counts, stock replenishment, and cycle counts to uphold inventory accuracy. Support warehouse operations by organizing stock storage areas, stocking shelves, and assisting with packaging for shipment. Ensure compliance with safety standards, trade regulations, and company policies during all warehouse activities. Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse operations or as a shipping & receiving clerk within a distribution environment. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, ERP systems (such as AS400), and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) tools. Strong knowledge of shipping logistics, order picking & packing procedures, and international trade regulations. Ability to operate forklifts safely; forklift certification is preferred. Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments accurately. Excellent data entry skills with high attention to detail to maintain precise records of shipments and inventory movements. Customer service mindset with effective communication skills for coordinating with carriers and internal teams. Physical ability to load/unload trucks, stand for extended periods, and perform manual stocking tasks using pallet jacks or other equipment.
