POSITION SUMMARY
The Warehouse team is responsible for all incoming and outgoing inventory and customer orders. The Shipping & Receiving Associate will be responsible for shipping tasks in the Warehouse to aid in the daily operations of the warehouse. The Shipping & Receiving Associate reports to the Warehouse Manager.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pick and pack orders for daily shipments.
- Ships outgoing orders through UPS WorldShip and FedEx systems.
- Coordinates with various departments for order accuracy and customer satisfaction.
- Assists in resolving inventory and/or order discrepancies.
- Creates bar codes and other required labels per customer order requirements.
- Assists with the counting of physical inventory throughout the year.
- Loads and unloads trucks using a forklift as well as manually unloads trucks when needed.
- Processes vendor and customer returns in accordance with documented procedures.
- Prepares bills of lading for outgoing truck shipments.
- Acts as back up to pick work orders for Streamline as needed
- Assists with receiving by checking the inbound shipments each day for accuracy and putting away product into a specified location.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of warehouse.
- Works directly with employees of all departments to help resolve discrepancies Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards in assigned work areas and shared spaces by cleaning workstations, properly storing tools and materials, and keeping aisles, walkways, and common areas clear and safe at all times.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- 2-3 years of prior experience in distribution or manufacturing environment.
- Prior experience with UPS WorldShip, FedEx, DHL and freight preferred.
- Certified to operate a forklift or willingness to become certified
- Ability to operate company and vendor computer software
- Knowledge of RF scanning and barcoding a plus.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational, problem-solving and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to summarize needed information.
- Ability to operate a fork truck, pallet jack.
- Clean CT driver's license.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Lifting required of up to 70lbs unassisted and over 70lbs with lifting aides.
- Frequently stands, walks, sits, climbs, pushes, pulls, and carries items.
- Operate a forklift, with forklift re-certification every 2 years.
- Work environment subject to seasonal temperature variations.
