Job Description

Job Title:
Shipping, Receiving & Inventory Clerk Job Type:
Full-time Air Vac Engineering is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk with proven inventory management experience to oversee our warehouse logistics. In this dual-focused role, you will be responsible for processing all inbound and outbound shipments while ensuring absolute accuracy within our physical and digital inventory. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience tracking stock levels, conducting routine counts, and utilizing inventory database software to eliminate discrepancies. Primary Responsibilities Shipping & Receiving Operations Verify inbound freight: Inspect incoming deliveries against manifests, invoices, or purchase orders to ensure accurate counts and item precision.
Manage outbound logistics:
Pack, seal, label, and securely stack outgoing materials using appropriate hand or power tools.
Generate transit documentation:
Prepare critical shipping documents including bills of lading (BOL), work orders, load tags, and customs documentation.
Coordinate with carriers:
Schedule pick-ups and deliveries with freight lines, couriers, and third-party logistics providers Document and report discrepancies: Take immediate notes on shortages, overages, or damaged goods, and communicate findings to vendors or procurement.
Inventory Management Update digital records:
Accurately log all item movements, location changes, and quantity updates using company software Lead cycle counts: Conduct regular inventory cycle counts and full physical audits to reconcile warehouse stock with database records.
Optimize stock allocation:
Organize, clean, and catalog storage locations to ensure items are safely routed and easily accessible for order fulfillment.
Track supply inventory:
Monitor levels of shipping supplies (boxes, tape, pallets, labels) and reorder materials before depletion occurs.
Analyze variances:
Troubleshoot inventory mismatches, trace tracking errors, and implement preventive workflows to reduce missing items.
Skills and Qualifications Experience:
Minimum of 2+ years of direct experience working in a shipping and receiving environment with verified inventory tracking responsibilities.
Software proficiency:
Hands-on experience with Inventory Management Systems (IMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), or enterprise software. Comfort utilizing barcode scanners and basic spreadsheet functions (Excel/Google Sheets) is highly preferred.
Attention to detail:
Exceptional ability to cross-reference long alphanumeric sequences, SKUs, and fine print under fast-paced constraints.
Communication:
Clear verbal and written skills to seamlessly coordinate with delivery drivers, suppliers, and internal purchasing departments.
Physical requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50lbs repeatedly throughout an active shift.
Equipment certification:
Experience or active certification operating material-handling equipment like forklifts, electric pallet jacks, or cherry pickers is a strong plus.
Pay:
$24.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
