Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipper/Receiver to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately managing incoming and outgoing shipments, utilizing warehouse management systems, and ensuring efficient order fulfillment. This role requires familiarity with warehouse equipment and processes, including forklift operation, RF scanners, and pallet jacks. The Shipper/Receiver plays a vital part in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting smooth warehouse operations, including packaging, stocking, and order picking for e-commerce and distribution channels. Responsibilities Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling orders accurately using order pickers and MRPs Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks to load and unload goods safely Stock inventory efficiently while maintaining organized storage areas Manage order fulfillment processes to ensure timely dispatch of products Maintain accurate records of inventory movements within warehouse management systems Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure stock accuracy Support warehouse distribution activities by coordinating with logistics teams Ensure compliance with safety standards during all loading/unloading activities Perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and order quantities Requirements Previous warehouse experience preferred, especially in shipping & receiving operations Proficiency with warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) Knowledge of order picking & packing procedures for e-commerce or distribution centers Ability to operate equipment safely following all safety protocols Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory accuracy Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) regularly and stand for extended periods Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic warehouse environment where efficiency and accuracy are paramount.
