Job Description

Manage incoming and outgoing goods, ensuring accurate inventory records, proper packaging, and timely logistics. Key duties include inspecting shipments for damage, verifying packing slips against purchase orders, unloading trucks, operating warehouse equipment, and maintaining organized, secure, and clean warehouse storage areas. Shipping Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments in accordance with company and carrier requirements Coordinate daily shipments with carriers (LTL, parcel, freight) Verify orders for accuracy prior to shipment Look through work orders to determine order picking activities and pick orders according to the specific instructions provided Match order information in order cards with information on picked items to ensure conformity. Receiving Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders Inspect materials for damage or discrepancies and report issues Accurately enter received goods into ERP or inventory systems Label and store materials in designated warehouse locations Determine storage areas for incoming shipments and allocate appropriate space with the warehouse. Assist in physically moving incoming items to designated storage areas and supervise storage activities Inventory & Warehouse Operations Maintain organized and clean shipping/receiving areas Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory Monitor stock levels and report shortages or overages Ensure proper handling and storage of materials Record damaged or defective items and replace them according to company policies. Handle returns and exchanges by ensuring that reverse distribution processes are followed properly. Ascertain that all incoming and outgoing shipments are properly labeled and that correlating documents are available with each shipment. Compare the amount and identification numbers of goods against orders. Assemble wood and cardboard containers or pick pre-assembled containers. Compliance & Safety Follow all safety procedures and OSHA guidelines Operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) safely Maintain compliance with company policies and shipping regulations Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent 1-3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations Basic computer skills (ERP systems, shipping software, Microsoft Office) Ability to perform physical tasks The position is regularly required to stand, bend, twist, carry and lift objects up to 50+ pounds Preferred Experience in a manufacturing environment Forklift certification Familiarity with UPS, FedEx, and freight carrier systems Key Skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Time management and ability to meet deadlines Organizational skills Communication and teamwork
