Your responsibilities
- Staging management: organize and manage the shipping dock, ensuring all finished orders are correctly staged and separated by carrier and destination
- Loading supervision: assist and coordinate with dock workers and forklift operators during the loading of trailers, ensuring load manifests match and the weight is properly distributed
- Manifest reconciliation: verify that the physical count of staged pallets matches the final shipping manifest and bill of lading (bol) prior to carrier acceptance
- Problem solving: quickly address and resolve minor discrepancies or packaging issues to ensure the shipment departs on time
Safety:
strictly enforce and follow all shipping dock safety procedures related to equipment, staging, and trailer loading.location:
