Requirements:
ROLE:
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment. Duties include assembling, addressing, stamping and shipping merchandise or material; receiving, unpacking, verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material; and arranging for the transportation of products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Review and accept traceability paperwork for parts and materials. Ensure that all articles shipped are properly documented on the appropriate forms. Ensure shipments are properly packaged, identified with shipment information, and loaded into transporting vehicles. Take pictures of incoming parts, materials and units. Maintain inventory of consumables. Verify the customer documents to ensure paperwork is complete. Open receivers and work orders in Pentagon System. Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock. Maintain strict attention to warehouse safety. Perform other duties, as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES N/A JOB QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Required.
EXPERIENCE
At least 1-3 years of experience of warehouse/stockroom experience preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS N/A KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS OR ABILITIES
Language/Communication Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as emails, report and correspondence. Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English and Spanish. Excellent communication skills.
Computer Skills:
Moderate computer knowledge of Microsoft suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Math Skills:
Ability to use mathematics to solve problems.
Reasoning Skills:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to problem solve and provide solutions.
Organizational Skills:
Strong organizational skills, strict attention to details and ability to multitask and prioritize as necessary, with minimal supervisory direction.
Interpersonal Skills:
Must work well and communicate with others. Must be flexible in handling multiple tasks.
Strong Work Ethic:
Willingness to work hard and long hours, when needed. Must be available to work overtime and some Saturdays, as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, will be required to sit, use hands to finger, talk or hear and occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to lift and/move up to 75 lbs. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance version, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and ability to adjust focus.
