Ocala, FL (34474) Climate Controlled Manufacturing/Distribution Facility Position Summary The Shipping Clerk is responsible for accurately picking, packing, and preparing customer orders for shipment. This role utilizes RF scanning technology, operates warehouse equipment such as forklifts, and maintains accurate inventory records using computer systems. Key Responsibilities Pick customer orders efficiently and accurately using RF scanning devices Pack and prepare orders for shipment in accordance with company standards and shipping requirements Verify order accuracy, including product counts and proper labeling before shipment Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, and organize inventory safely Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment Perform inventory counts and cycle counts using warehouse management systems Update inventory data and track stock levels using computer systems Assist with receiving incoming shipments and storing materials in appropriate locations Communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure timely order fulfillment Required Skills & Qualifications Experience in warehouse, shipping, or logistics environments preferred Familiarity with RF scanners or warehouse management systems Forklift operation experience (certification preferred) Basic computer skills, including data entry and inventory tracking Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines Good communication and teamwork skills Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly Standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility with an integrated warehouse environment. You will work on a first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday. The position involves regular use of forklifts (both sit-down and stand-up), pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment, along with manual lifting of up to 50 pounds. The facility emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and organization, and the work includes a mix of equipment operation and manual material handling in a structured, production-support setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ocala, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
