Job Description

About us R&D Machine is a leader in precision CNC machining for the aerospace, defense, and space industries. We specialize in producing complex, high-tolerance components—made from a large variety of materials including; aluminum, steel, plastics, and exotic metals—that are designed to perform in demanding environments from atmospheric flight to outer space. Our facility is equipped with advanced milling and turning capabilities, complemented by state-of-the-art Zeiss coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Using detailed 3D models provided by our customers, we develop precise machining programs and automated inspection routines to ensure every dimension meets exact specifications. We are seeking a motivated, team-oriented Shipping/Receiving Specialist with strong work ethic and motivation. In this role, you will be responsible for packaging parts, creating shipping documents and receiving in material. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience and a commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
Day shift:
Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm Responsibilities Package parts and products for domestic and international shipments, ensuring accuracy and proper protection. Prepare shipping documentation, including packing slips, bills of lading, shipping labels, and carrier paperwork. Receive incoming materials, inspect shipments for accuracy and damage, and process receipts in the ERP or inventory management system. Coordinate with production, purchasing, and customer service to ensure timely shipment of orders and receipt of materials. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and receiving area while following all company safety procedures. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. 1-3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or manufacturing environments preferred. Familiarity with shipping software, ERP systems, and major carriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL, LTL freight) is preferred. Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate documentation. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data entry. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday. Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines. Forklift certification or willingness to become certified is preferred.
