Job Description
Responsibilities and Duties Required Unpack, examine, and route incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with buyer to rectify damages and shortages. Receives and processes all defective parts returned for replacement or credit. Perform all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods. Responsible for planning for pick up by the carrier specified on the customer order, which is conveyed to the shipping clerk via the shipping instructions. Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor. Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand always. Make pickups and deliveries to our suppliers for parts and raw materials using a company vehicle, as required. Pull material per work order and complete all paperwork requirements and complete the proper transactions in the ERP system when required. Responsible to implement and perform material cycle counts as scheduled. Review and ensure accuracy of pick ticket documents and work orders. Contribute to continuous improvement with department objectives. Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. Responsible for packing of all outgoing shipments per work instructions. Maintain area to align with 6S activities. Assist in Stock Room as needed.

Ability to adapt to change Ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships. Ability to train individuals with a variety of experience levels and personalities. P romote a team environment. Ability to motivate and develop staff. Willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges. Must possess attention to detail. Must have the ability to effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written. Must possess the ability to understand and execute a variety of company procedures, policies and must be multi-task oriented. Must be able to work independently at a fast pace, follow directions and make decisions. Must be able to read and understand work related documents.
