M&W Distribution Services, Inc. is a family-owned business that has been helping companies in the Southeast manage their warehousing and logistics needs for over 50 years. As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will be managing the workflow of goods into and shipping out of our warehouse. This is a perfect opportunity for an individual at the beginning of their career. We are open Monday-Friday. Posted hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm. However, shifts may start early and run late. Occasional weekend work may be required. Overtime is anticipated to be between 10% and 25%. This is an in-office position, not remote.
DUTIES:
  • Interacting with warehouse management and associates to ensure that orders are picked, prepped, and loaded in a timely fashion and meet all customer requirements.
  • Interacting with carrier dispatchers and drivers to process inbound and outbound trailers following M&W policies.
  • Ensuring all bills of lading and inter-company paperwork are completed in the proper manner.
  • Coordinating movement of traffic flow in dock doors and rail doors as it relates to truck lines.
  • Functioning as the liaison between warehouse staff and carriers.
  • Maintaining responsibility for custody and control of shipments through verification process and signature.
  • Assisting with checking orders.
  • Asisting with scheduling as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Great attitude, you will be working with a wide variety of people, both internal and external, including dispatchers, drivers, and warehouse associates.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple requests from different sources while keeping a cool head and a can-do attitude.
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Exceptional written and verbal skills (in person, on the phone, and via email).
  • Strong commitment to customer service.
  • Drug test and background check required.
