An Electronic Contract Manufacturing (ECM) Shipping Clerk prepares, packages, and ships delicate electronic components, printed circuit boards (PCBs), and finished assemblies while ensuring compliance with electrostatic discharge (ESD) safety protocols. Job Summary The Shipping Clerk manages outbound logistics for electronic contract manufacturing. This role verifies product orders, packs sensitive electronics safely, generates shipping documents, and coordinates with freight carriers to ensure on-time delivery to clients. [ 1 , 2 , 3 ]
Key Responsibilities ESD-Safe Packaging:
Handle and package electrostatic-sensitive devices (ESDs) using anti-static bags, foam, and specialized cushioning to prevent electronic component damage.Order Verification:
Inspect outgoing electronic assemblies and match contents against customer purchase orders, packing lists, and manifests. [ 1 ]Documentation:
Generate accurate bills of lading (BOL), commercial invoices, and tracking labels using enterprise resource planning (ERP) or shipping software. [ 1 , 2 ]Carrier Coordination:
Schedule pickups and coordinate with freight forwarders or parcel services (e.g., FedEx, UPS, DHL) for domestic and international shipments. [ 1 , 2 ]Inventory Tracking:
Record outgoing inventory counts and update stock levels in the company database. [ 1 , 2 ]Quality Control:
