About Us We are a precision CNC machine shop. We produce close-tolerance machined parts for customers who depend on accurate, on-time delivery. We're looking for a detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to keep materials and finished parts moving efficiently through our facility. Position Summary The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator manages the inbound flow of raw materials and outbound flow of finished machined components. This role ensures accurate inventory records, proper packaging to protect precision parts, and on-time shipments that meet customer and quality requirements. Key Responsibilities Receive incoming raw materials (bar stock, plate, castings, forgings, hardware) and verify against packing slips and purchase orders Inspect incoming shipments for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report issues to purchasing Pull, package, and prepare finished parts for shipment, ensuring proper protection against damage, corrosion, or contamination Generate shipping labels, packing lists, and bills of lading; coordinate with carriers (UPS, FedEx, LTL freight) Maintain accurate inventory counts and transactions in ProShop (our ERP system) for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods Log receiving, shipping, and material movements in ProShop in real time to keep job travelers and inventory records current Stage material for production based on job travelers and work orders Ensure proper labeling and traceability of materials (heat/lot numbers, certs) per quality requirements (ISO 9001 / AS9100 if applicable) Coordinate with quality department on inspection holds, certifications, and Certificates of Conformance (CoCs) that must ship with parts Operate a forklift and/or pallet jack to move materials safely Maintain a clean, organized shipping/receiving area and warehouse Process customer returns (RMAs) and outgoing/incoming tooling as needed Support cycle counts and physical inventory audits, reconciling against ProShop records Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 1+ years of shipping/receiving or warehouse experience; machine shop or manufacturing environment preferred Experience with ProShop or similar ERP/MRP systems is a plus. Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) Basic math skills; ability to read packing slips, work orders, and material certs Familiarity with shipping carriers and freight processes (LTL, parcel) Strong attention to detail — mismatched or damaged shipments directly affect production and customer delivery Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods Basic computer proficiency (email, spreadsheets, ERP data entry) Preferred / Not Required Direct hands-on experience using ProShop for inventory, receiving, or shipping transactions Experience with AS9100 or
ISO 9001
quality systems and material traceability requirements Familiarity with reading blueprints/travelers to match parts to job numbers Experience shipping internationally (customs documentation) if applicable Physical Requirements Regularly lift/move up to 50 lbs; occasionally more with lifting equipment Frequent standing, bending, and use of hand tools/pallet jacks/forklifts Work performed in a shop environment with exposure to machinery, coolant, and metal shavings
Compensation & Benefits Pay:
$17.00-24.00/hour, based on experience
