Job Summary:

The Shipping and Receiving Associate verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments, prepares items for shipment and performs inventory management for all incoming and outgoing products and materials. Demonstrate proficiency in UPS and FedEx shipping systems, ensuring accurate and timely processing of outbound shipment. Possess a solid understanding of freight logistics, including coordination and optimization of shipping routes and methods. Manage the loading and handling of materials with efficiency and care. Ensure strict compliance with dock safety protocols, promoting a safe and organized loading environment. Coordinate high-volume shipping operations, handling large daily shipment quantities with precision and reliability. Coordinate and communicate effectively with freight carriers to schedule timely pickups and resolve any logistical issues. Operates forklift or pallet jacks to unload all inbound materials and to move materials to proper department or areas. Maintains forklift by completing preventative maintenance at beginning of shift. Performs general housekeeping, maintenance and organization of the dock and inventory areas. Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. Prepares paperwork, packing list, bill of lading for all ground and LTL shipments. Load all outbound shipments. Contribute to safety goals by maintaining a clean, clutter-free workplace, report potentially unsafe conditions and ensure that the department meets and exceeds safety requirements. Meet productivity and quality standards by completing work in a timely and accurate manner. Support the Receiving team as needed with workload overflow and/or cross training for departmental coverage Completes daily receiving entries into receiving log including verifying actual counts against receiving documents and reports any discrepancies to the proper employee. Inspect for any obvious quality issues, including but not limited to the following: short counts, packing issues, damaged goods, color quality, size, or finishing issues. Manages raw material inventories, including maintenance and cleaning of inventory area, inventory organization and racking, and inventory cycle counting reporting. Receive all Purchase Orders into accounting software daily. Run month end open Purchase Order report. Performs general housekeeping, maintenance and organization of the dock and inventory areas. Process shipment by using scanner gun. Load all outbound LTL shipments. Work overtime as needed. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications of Position:

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience Forklift certified Previous experience in shipping/warehouse in a high-volume environment Experienced with UPS and FedEx shipping systems, and coordinating with multiple carriers Ability to read and interpret shipping documents (BOLs, packing lists, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications Position:

2-5 years of shipping/warehouse experience in a high-volume environment

Knowledge and Skills:

Basic Computer Skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Problem-solving skills and ability to resolve carrier or delivery issues Ability to run a forklift or pallet jack. Excellent communication skills (oral and written).

The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
