Overview Join our dynamic team as a Gate Clerk, where you will be the first point of contact at our distribution center's entry and exit points. This vital role ensures smooth and secure operations by managing access for employees, vendors, carriers, and visitors. You will oversee shipping and receiving activities, maintain accurate records, and support overall warehouse functions with enthusiasm and precision. Duties Verify and authorize entry and exit of employees, vendors, carriers, and visitors using warehouse management systems and access control procedures Manage shipping logistics by coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy in documentation and compliance with trade regulations Operate warehouse equipment such as RF scanners, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and order pickers to load and unload trucks efficiently Perform data entry tasks related to inventory management software, ERP systems like AS400 or MRP platforms to update stock levels and shipment statuses Conduct inventory management activities including stocking, order picking, packing, and order fulfillment to support warehouse distribution goals Maintain detailed records of shipments, deliveries, incidents, and access logs to ensure security and operational transparency Provide excellent customer service by assisting drivers, vendors, and internal teams with inquiries related to shipping & receiving processes Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse operations or logistics environments with familiarity in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software Strong knowledge of shipping logistics, order picking & packing, stock control, and trade compliance regulations Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as RF scanners, pallet jacks, reach trucks, forklift certifications preferred but not required Basic math skills for counting inventory accurately and processing shipments efficiently Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for record keeping and reporting purposes Excellent communication skills with a customer service-oriented mindset Prior experience with ERP systems like AS400 or MRP platforms is highly desirable Join us in delivering seamless logistics operations while ensuring safety, accuracy, and exceptional service at every step!
Pay:
$22.17 - $26.70 per hour
