Location:
Woodridge, IL
POSITION SUMMARY
: The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for the accurate receipt, storage, movement, and shipment of materials. This position maintains inventory accuracy, prepares materials for outbound orders and production, operates material-handling equipment, and supports efficient warehouse operations through organization, attention to detail, and teamwork.
Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, count, and document incoming shipments. Load and unload trucks safely using forklifts and other material-handling equipment. Record inventory locations and material transactions accurately in Acumatica. Pull, stage, package, and prepare materials for outbound orders and outside processing. Identify, document, and report damaged or discrepant materials. Maintain organized, accurate, and clean warehouse, receiving, and staging areas. Perform periodic cycle counts and support inventory accuracy initiatives to ensure efficient warehouse operations. Consolidate and organize warehouse materials on a routine basis to optimize storage capacity and use of available space. Pull and stage materials for production and assembly operations to support workflow and on-time completion. Work collaboratively with Operations personnel to resolve issues and improve workflow efficiency. Assist with shipping, production, quality, and other operational activities as needed. Develop proficiency in shipping systems and warehouse processes to provide operational support and coverage.
Physical Demands:
Standing for long periods of time Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds May engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting and climbing ladders This job is performed indoors in a traditional warehouse setting. Exposure to heat, cold, common dust, dirt and noise is expected.
Requirements:
Familiar with computers Must be able to read tape measure Possess basic mathematical skills Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions Good organizational skills Ability to work under pressure Forklift experience required Attention to detail Must be able to work with hand tools (drill, grinder, sander and circular saw). Compensation $21 per hr.
