Job Description
Purpose of Position:
The 1st shift Shipping GAPP (General Associate Premium Pay) will contribute to the success of the Shipping Department by preparing and staging daily shipments according to customer requirements in a safe manner following all policies and procedures. Essential Job Functions Pull materials to match load list from Edibar Maintain C&O while completing daily tasks Participate in physical inventories Remove returnable containers from trailers Compare and document Bills of Lading discrepancies Turn in required paperwork to technician Systems and continuous improvement orientation Problem analysis and resolution Other duties assigned by management Experience and Knowledge Previous experience in driving a forklift preferred but not required Skills Strong attention to detail and analytical skills Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment Strong math skills Basic computer skills Stand/Walk at least 8 hours a day Bend, stoop, or kneel Repetitive motions Lift and stack boxes up to 50 lbs.
