Job Description

SUMMARY :
This position is primarily responsible for managing the inbound and outbound truck, trailer and container traffic through the Shipping and Receiving Center ensuring all ABW and customer requirements are met for acceptance and/or release.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
: Manages all truck traffic IN and OUT through the Shipping & Receiving Center Initial inbound trailers Inspections Documents rejected trailers/containers using the Rejected Trailer Smartsheet Outbound trailer inspections Seal checks Documents Exceptions as needed using Smartsheet form Reefer Temp checks as required by customer Fuel tank level check on inbound Routine yard checks for trailers and fuel level Confirms pickup numbers and arrives trailers Direct drivers through verbal instructions Prints and documents BOLs in accordance to ABW instructions Communicates effectively with warehouse operations team and spotter Interacts with drivers and visitors in a polite and professional manner Operates the yard truck to complete yard checks Inputs/Supports the Exception Reporting process Assists and supports ABW Customer Service Representative requests Inspects all outbound empty trailers to ensure empty Inspects all plant shuttles/trailers in and out to ensure seals applied Exception is Columbia plant shuttle Confirms shipment destination with Driver for all outbound shipments Verbal confirmation from driver to match BOL Requires Drivers initials on BOL Resolves any discrepancy by verification of carrier move I.D. # Follows ALL safety procedures Wears High visibility outer clothing as required Verbally instructs drivers to disconnect from trailers during loading/unloading process and directs drivers on site activity Manages access and directs emergency vehicles as needed Secures yard access during any emergency event

: WHS Management Software Smartsheet Time management and organizational skills Managing multiple activities Proficient computer skills Ability to work independently and within a team environment Self-starter that requires little to no direction
Other Requirements:
Working Holidays as required to support a 365-day operation Willing and capable of working outside and in all weather conditions Attendance and punctuality an absolute must
