This position plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate receipt of raw materials and the timely shipment of finished goods. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience in a warehouse or shipping environment, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipping Functions Gather products and materials needed to fulfil customer orders. Transport products to the shipping area for preparation and shipment. Assemble finished pallets, including wrapping, banding, labeling, and preparing goods for shipment. Ensure correct stencils, barcodes, labels, and certifications are applied as required. Complete Bills of Lading, customs documentation, and other shipping paperwork. Verify Bills of Lading, routing numbers, and pickup numbers with drivers before loading shipments. Schedule shipments and coordinate transportation with trucking companies. Ensure all required shipment certifications are included. Submit completed shipping documentation to the appropriate departments. Receiving Functions Receive incoming raw materials and verify packing lists and shipment accuracy. Unload and load trucks safely and efficiently. Complete receiving inspection and verification reports. Enter receiving information accurately into SAP. Place received materials in designated storage locations while maintaining proper stock rotation (FIFO). Coordinate with Quality Assurance (QA) to audit and approve incoming materials. Verify vendor Certificates of Analysis (CoA) meet required specifications and report discrepancies. Report missing receipts and receiving issues to Purchasing and management. Inventory & Documentation Scan materials in and out of SAP. Maintain accurate inventory records and lot number tracking. Log returnable containers received and shipped. Follow established quality, environmental, and safety procedures. Ensure all required EMS and QMS documentation is accessed through company systems. General Responsibilities Communicate effectively with team members across departments. Report shipping, receiving, inventory, or safety concerns to management. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Perform other duties as assigned by the Shipping & Receiving Manager. Qualifications Required High School Diploma or GED. Basic computer skills. Ability to follow detailed shipping and receiving procedures. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Previous shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. Experience using SAP or other inventory management systems. Forklift experience preferred. Skills & Competencies Strong problem-solving abilities. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience with inventory control and documentation. Proficiency in SAP and barcode scanning systems preferred.
