Job Description
Deister Machine Company is seeking a qualified Shipping Clerk for 1st shift Deister is the leader in manufacturing quality, specialized vibrating screens and feeders for the mining, quarrying and allied industries. We are a family-owned business incorporated in 1912. SUMMERY:
Requisitions transportation from traffic manager to ship plant products by performing the following duties.DUTIES:
Works well as a team Able to read a tape measure Forklift experience Minimal computer skills, data entry, looking up machine prints Overhead hoist experience is a plus Double check dimensions and order crates Locate loose parts for each machine when they arrive at final assembly Cut rubber to print specifications Pull hardware for loose parts Punch nameplates for each screen with correct information Prints job number and crate number on crates if not already done Ensure all loose parts are included in the crate, on the packing slip and documented with pictures Affixes packings slips on packed crates Seals wooden crates closed Bands loose materials to pallets or together with metal banding Pull decals from inventory Apply decals to finished machines Rivet nameplates in completed machine Install rubber on finished machines Takes actual dimensions and weigh on all screens, crates, and loose parts. Adds actual dimensions and weight for all screens, crates, and loose parts on BOL Loads screens and/or crates onto outside carrier trucks with overhead hoist and/or forklift Takes pictures of loaded machines with loose parts on carrier trailers meJob Type:
