Monday-Friday, 7:00am - 3:45pm, overtime as required and approvedSummary:
Responsible for performing the inspection of incoming and outgoing units, generating shipping labels, and packing, sealing, and shipping units by performing the following duties. This position performs safety-sensitive functions.Responsibilities:
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Examines shipment contents and compares with records like the manifest to verify accuracy.- 2. Records shipment data.
- 3. Responsible for packing, sealing, labeling, and affixing postage on units.
- 4. Delivers or routes materials to departments using hand trucks or sorting bins.
- 5. Responsible for the requisition and the storing of shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
- 6. Determines shipping methods, routes, and rates for materials to be shipped.
- 7. Analyzes shipping information to make routing decisions.
- 8. Delivers items.
- 9. Inspects shipments to ensure correct order fulfillment.
- 10. Records shipping information.
- 11. Enters data into Quantum which includes creating work orders and temporarily accessing the old system.
- 12. Produces purchase orders and orders shop supplies for the Shipping Department.
- 13. Corrects and creates 8130 work packages.
- 14. Responsible for using shipping software and creating bill of ladings for Federal Express, DHL, UPS, and Old Dominion.
- 15. Responsible for the organization and cleanliness of the Shipping and Receiving Department.
- 16. Maintains hard copies of paperwork.
- 17. Confers with or corresponds with establishment representatives to rectify problems such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications via email and telephone. 18. Removes of trash for the shipping area. 19. Must communicate effectively with other departments. 20. Palletizes, shrink wraps, and schedules shipping for scraps. What you'll bring:
