Job Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Polycor is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to coordinate outbound truck shipments from Scale House 2 in Oolitic. This position is responsible for shipping blocks, slabs, and palletized finished products while ensuring driver information, truck weights, customer details, and shipping documentation are complete and accurate. The Shipping Clerk works closely with truck drivers, loader operators, customers, and internal teams to ensure every load is shipped safely, accurately, and efficiently.
SCOPE & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare bills of lading, packing slips, weight tickets, and other required shipping paperwork
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation, with particular attention to international shipments to Canada
  • Verify customer, carrier, destination, product, and weight information before releasing trucks
  • Coordinate daily loads and communicate changes or special shipping requirements
  • Enter shipment, sales order, transfer, and inventory information in D365
  • Maintain accurate block transfer logs and inventory records
  • Investigate and resolve weight, order, inventory, or documentation discrepancies
  • Maintain organized shipping records and files
  • Perform other shipping-related duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced shipping environment
  • Strong computer, data-entry, and recordkeeping skills
  • Effective communication and customer-service skills
  • Ability to coordinate with drivers, equipment operators, customers, and internal teams
  • Previous experience in shipping, logistics, dispatching, inventory, or scale-house operations preferred

      Compensation:
      $21.00 per hour (equivalent to approximately $43,680 annually, based on a 40-hour work week)
        Schedule:
        8:00am - 4:00pm
          Location:
