Job Title:
Shipping and Receiving Clerk Job Description Join our dynamic team as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, where you will play a crucial role in organizing, labeling, and decorating finished goods. In our highly automated facility, you will collaborate with cutting-edge technology and ensure that every tote and crate meets the highest quality standards. Responsibilities Organize, stack, palletize, and label finished totes and crates. Perform assembly, decoration, and packaging operations for finished goods. Conduct visual quality inspections of parts produced at work centers. Identify work center, work order, and part quality concerns. Follow internal growth and cross training plans to learn new position responsibilities. Participate in safety and team meetings to aid in continuous improvement of operations. Apply FG labels, scan inventory, and relocate finished goods. Audit inventory in production locations to ensure accuracy with MRP system. Utilize tablets to print labels with accurate pallet quantities. Essential Skills Experience in shipping and receiving, picking, and material handling. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. Proficiency in machine operating and inventory control. Capability to stand, walk, reach, climb steps, bend, twist, and apply pressure throughout the shift. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in packing, packaging, and kitting. Strong attention to detail and ability to conduct quality inspections. Why Work Here? Work Environment Our facility is highly automated and climate-controlled, where robots handle most of the work, but human interaction is essential for stacking totes, conducting quality checks, applying labels, and performing general labor duties. Steel-toed shoes are required for safety. The facility operates on a 24/7 schedule with rotating shifts. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ottawa, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
