6PM-11:30PM We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Kitchen Cook/Cashier to join our dynamic culinary team. This role combines the responsibilities of preparing high-quality food items with providing exceptional customer service at the cashier station. The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring efficient kitchen operations, maintaining food safety standards, and delivering a satisfying dining experience for all patrons. This position offers an engaging environment where culinary expertise and excellent service skills are highly valued. Responsibilities Prepare a variety of menu items with precision, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, poaching stations, braising pots, and food production tools. Maintain strict food safety and sanitizing procedures to ensure a hygienic environment. Assist in menu planning and food preparation for daily service, special events, or catering needs. Handle food handling responsibilities with attention to quality, portion control, and presentation. Serve customers at the cashier station with professionalism, accuracy, and friendly communication. Manage high-volume food production during peak hours while maintaining quality standards. Support dietary department requirements by understanding dietary restrictions and special meal preparations. Follow food safety management protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal service and smooth kitchen operations. Qualifications Previous experience as a dietary aide or in a food service setting is preferred. Demonstrated culinary experience including skills in grilling, braising, poaching, and other cooking techniques. Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling regulations. Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and food production processes. Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and effectively. Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques. Prior experience in high-volume production environments or fine dining settings is advantageous. Excellent communication skills for serving customers and coordinating with team members. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of catering services or restaurant experience is beneficial but not mandatory. This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to develop their culinary skills while providing outstanding customer service.
