Job Description

SUMMARY:
The basic function of the Shipping - LTL personnel is to assemble daily Modular, Commercial, and portable orders for shipping. This position may also put finished goods and shipping supplies in the proper location.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assemble daily shipping orders which include Modular, Commercial, and Portable products.
  • Match up pick tickets with orders before pulling merchandise.
  • Fill out appropriate information on pick tickets.
  • Verify quality and accuracy of orders (Items and counts).
  • Operate forklift and pallet jacks as needed to load trucks.
  • Move finished goods from staging area to finished goods rack.
  • Process and stage products from distribution list for transfer truck.
  • Load distribution trucks per distribution list.
  • Assist in other areas of Shipping when needed.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent. Basic warehouse, stock or related experience. 6 months to one year forklift experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Read, write and speak fluent English. Able to communicate professionally and clearly with others.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Basic math skills; addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
REASONING ABILITY
Able to determine accuracy of outgoing orders and issues that appear incorrect from normal process and procedure.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Ability to use Microsoft Office software programs. Experience with Advanced Distribution a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis as well as standing and reaching for long periods of time. Constant use of hands to perform functions is required. Ability to obtain forklift certification and operate forklift in a safe and efficient manner.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Able to work in warehouse environment with changes in temperature due to location of work to be performed.
