Job Title:
Shipper Job Description The Shipper plays a key role in ensuring products are accurately packaged, labeled, and prepared for shipment from a specialized manufacturing facility that produces cable assemblies, connectors, insulation systems, and accessories for high-voltage industrial and military applications. This position focuses on efficient, detail-oriented handling of outgoing orders and documentation while working closely with a small, supportive team. Responsibilities Pack boxes with products according to established standards and procedures to ensure items are secure and protected during transit. Process all paperwork and shipment documentation accurately, including shipping forms, records, and related system entries. Print shipping labels and apply them correctly to packages to ensure clear identification and smooth delivery. Handle daily shipping and receiving tasks, including organizing outgoing orders and assisting with incoming materials as needed. Use basic computer skills to enter, update, and track shipment information in relevant systems. Follow established shipping and packing guidelines and take direction from supervisors to maintain consistency and quality. Collaborate with team members in shipping, receiving, and production to coordinate order fulfillment and resolve any issues. Maintain a clean, organized work area and contribute to overall efficiency and safety in the shipping department. Support general labor and order picking activities as needed to meet production and shipping deadlines. Essential Skills At least 2 years of experience in shipping and receiving roles. Hands-on experience with packing products and preparing orders for shipment. Comfortable working with documentation and shipment paperwork, with strong attention to detail. Basic computer skills to manage labels, records, and shipment information. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues. Willingness to learn new processes and take direction to meet department standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in general labor and order picking within a production or warehouse environment. Knowledge in production settings, particularly where shipping and receiving are closely integrated. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple shipments and tasks simultaneously. Reliability and consistency in meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards. Why Work Here? Knowle Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chelmsford, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
