We are looking for a responsible Receiving Clerk 2nd Shift 1pm to 9pm to receive, inspect and record shipments with raw material or products. You will be responsible for unloading and checking freight to ensure they match the orders. A receiving clerk must have a great eye for detail and basic math skills. They must also have adequate physical strength to unload shipments as well as the clerical skills to update records. The goal is to ensure we receive the correct packages and stock them appropriately. Collaborate with purchasing to list expected deliveries Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt Unload packages from incoming trucks Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price etc.) Contact supplier or shipper if a mistake is identified Assume responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place Ensure invoices are signed Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control General housekeeping and specific sanitation tasks as required (e.g. you may be asked to sweep the floor, take out the trash, etc.) Safely operate a forklift after we provide you training, and you obtain certification Adhere to health & safety policies and quality standards Proven experience as receiving clerk or other warehouse position Experience or license in handling forklifts, pallets jacks and other warehouse equipment Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving and organizational skills. Previous experience in a food-processing, manufacturing, or warehouse environment is a plus Great attention to detail Diligent and punctual A self-motivated individual that can multi-task. You are 18 years of age or older You will be required to work on 1 weekends morning, some holidays You are willing and able to work in an environment that has extreme temperatures and slippery surfaces Physical Requirements The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands and fingers, handle, and feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee will be exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold in temperature.
