Summary of the
Job:
Entry-level employees will receive coaching|mentorship from other Shipping and Receiving personnel, including Operators, Assistant Team Leads, and|or Team Leads. Essential Duties include, but are not limited to: Drive Powered Industrial Trucks (Forklift or lift trucks) to move, raise, lower or remove pallets or boxes, crates or other containers Active checking of Shipping and Receiving policies and procedures. Move stocks from the different shipping and receiving areas of cool of the warehouse Be able to work in refrigerated and frozen temperature environments for extended periods of time. The company provides uniform materials and gear according to the Safety Rules of the Industry Keep the high standards and work ethics of the company Understand and follow the inventory shipment Keep clean and tidy work conditions and assist in the cleanup of the work area, as needed.
The company provides:
  • Training to how operate with powered industrial trucks: rules, safety, and OSHA
  • Training to understand how to ship, receive, and move inventory throughout the building
  • Training in the Food Industry and Safety Best Practices Work requirements:
  • Prior food manufacturing experience is a plus but is not required.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to provide and respond to verbal instructions. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and|or move up to 50 pounds. In order to maintain the high standards of the Company with regard to food safety and quality, specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and|orhumid conditions; moving parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; and extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
