Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Shipping & Receiving Clerk, where you'll be the vital link ensuring smooth and efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. This position will handle all shipping and receiving duties and activities, ensuring items are received accurately and timely. The hours for this position are 8AM-430PM Monday-Friday. Responsibilities Completes requisitions for consumables, as required. Verifies purchase requests with appropriate paperwork. Assists with inventory management and invoice verification. Organizes, manages, and ships all completed products to customers utilizing UPS, FedEx, US Post Office, Airlines, etc. Gathers all necessary information needed for shipping products to customers including work order packets, accurate quantity of product, shipping list, and appropriate information to ship completed product to customers. Troubleshoots shipping issues. Issues certification of compliance, as applicable. Issues labels and packing list information for product labeling and packaging. Packages and seals products for shipping. Obtains responsibility for the use of proper safety procedures. Completes required documentation. Uses Lean Enterprise methods to reduce waste and complexity in all processes. Skills Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language Ability to communicate clearly by conveying and receiving ideas, information and direction effectively Ability to demonstrate adequate job knowledge to deliver a world class performance Ability to challenge oneself to consistently meet all goals and deadlines Willingness to strive for excellence by producing work that is free of errors and mistakes Desire to delight both customers and coworkers by offering encouragement, fostering teamwork and addressing conflict appropriately Commitment to making improvements company wide Demonstrated competence using Microsoft Office Knowledge of acceptable procedures for completing commercial invoices and export declaration Competent knowledge of proper procedures for shipping via UPS, FedEx, and internationally Well developed organizational and time-management skills Ability to maintain a professional and respectful relationship with coworkers and company Experience operating reach trucks, pallet jacks, highly preferred. Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately. Knowledge of packaging standards and safety procedures for load & unload operations.
