Job Description

The Receiving Associate is responsible for receiving, inspecting, organizing, and tracking incoming doors, drawer fronts, moldings, and other purchased materials. This position ensures that all products received match the purchase order and packing slip, meet quality standards, and are properly labeled and stored for production. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, able to read a tape measure accurately, and capable of working efficiently in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Verify all incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips. Unpack and inspect every item received. Measure doors and other products to confirm dimensions are correct. Check for damage, defects, missing items, and shipping issues. Verify finish color, style, species, profile, and other specifications to ensure products match what was ordered. Clearly label all received items and materials. Complete receiving paperwork and documentation accurately. Record and report any damaged, incorrect, or missing items. Organize products by sales order, item, and production requirements. Place materials in the proper storage location until needed for production. Maintain accurate records of received materials and inventory. Keep the receiving area clean, safe, and organized. Work efficiently to ensure materials are available to production on time. Qualifications Ability to read and understand purchase orders, packing slips, and receiving documents. Ability to accurately read a tape measure. Strong attention to detail and quality standards. Good organizational and time management skills. Ability to identify differences in door styles, finishes, colors, and product specifications. Basic measurement skills. Ability to lift and move materials safely. Damages, shortages, and discrepancies are identified and reported immediately. Products are measured, inspected, labeled, and stored correctly. Receiving paperwork is completed accurately and on time. Work is performed efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift, carry, and move materials safely. Frequent bending, reaching, and handling of products. Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment. This position is important to maintaining quality standards, and supporting on time production by verifying that every product received is correct, organized, and ready for use.
Pay:
From $18.00 per hour
