Full Job Description Summary:
We are looking for a Shipping Clerk to support daily shipping and finished-goods inventory activities in a manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on position that combines shipping documentation and computer work with material handling, forklift operation, and loading/unloading shipments.
Essential Responsibilities:
Receive finished goods into inventory and maintain proper stock locations. Prepare daily outgoing freight and parcel shipments. Prepare LTL shipments, build skids, schedule carrier pickups, and load outgoing freight. Complete shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOL), commercial invoices, and export documentation. Submit Advanced Shipping Notifications (ASN) and generate barcode/shipping labels. Maintain accurate shipping and inventory records. Coordinate with Inventory, Quality, Production Planning, and other departments regarding shipment and production status. Follow established inventory, traceability, FIFO, quality, safety, and 5S procedures.
Qualifications:
Previous shipping, warehouse, or material-handling experience preferred. Forklift experience/certification -can be trained upon acceptance of job Experience preparing shipping paperwork and working with freight and parcel carriers preferred. Comfortable using computers, shipping/customer websites, printers, and other standard office equipment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to regularly lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Pay:
$23.00 - $27.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
