Job Description

•Forklife experience required. Experienced Shipping/Receiving person needed for overnight shift. This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions. It does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Responsibilities Load and unload trucks. Receive products, supplies and hardware; verify receipt against Bill of Lading/Manifest. Adhere to proper storage procedures of chemical products in designated racks, bay and building utilizing specialized material handling equipment. Experience in yard moves is essential to this role. Unload empty returnable containers from trucks. Sort containers to be reloaded on appropriate trailers for re-use or reconditioning. Assist with incoming freight. Verify product against Purchase Order requirements. Experience driving a fork lift is essential to this role. Prepare empty containers for Bulk Plant. Prepare pallets for storage and/or transportation of products. Ensure compliance with Company safety rules, local, state and federal regulations. Ensure shipment/delivery load is properly secured and/or stored, verify placard status. Selection, preparation and staging of customer orders per customer requirements, such as lot control numbers, additional stenciling or labeling requirements, packing and handling requirements, sample delivery requirements, QC requirements and/or cleaning of containers. Experience Previous experience in a shipping and receiving role within a distribution center is necessary. Experience driving a fork lift is required. Proficient in using order picking equipment, including RF scanners. Experience in yard moves is essential to this role. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
