Job Description

Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc. producer of Yellawood brand Pressure-Treated Pine is seeking a shipping and receiving clerk for the location in Hagerstown, MD. for 2nd Shift. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay and full benefit package.
Summary:
Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. Examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Responsible for placing identifying information on material upon arrival at the plant site. Routes items to inventory. Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications. Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies. Maintains flow of traffic through yard and assists in staging shipments for outbound loads. Assists in stacking lumber or moving product by hand as needed.
Qualifications :
High School diploma or GED preferred 6 months related experience Lumber experience a plus!
