Shipping Clerk
Shelby, MI Temporary $17.00 - $20.00/hr Onsite Job Description Ultimate Staffing is hiring for a Shipping Clerk at our warehouse/distribution customer in Shelby Township. This role is temp to hire with an hourly payrate of $17-20, depending on experience The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely shipment of goods and materials from the warehouse to customers or other destinations. Your primary duties will include setting up shipments for compliance customers.
Shipping Clerk Principal Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping paperwork (pallet sheets, tags, summaries, ASN's)
- Enter shipment details into our Warehouse Management System
- Create Bills of Lading and coordinate with carriers
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOP's) for shipments.
Shipping Clerk Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Comfortable using computers, email, and phone and have good verbal and written communication skills
- Team-oriented and self-motivated, willing to learn and take on different tasks
- Overall understanding of warehouse/shipping operations
- Good multitasking and attention to detail
- Familiar with Excel, Word, Outlook, and Google Maps
