Shipping & Receiving Clerk Nichols Portland Inc - 2.9 Wyandotte, MI Job Details Full-time 10 hours ago Qualifications Lifting equipment Forklift Full Job Description Shipping & Receiving Clerk Job Summary NPI - Specialty Valve and Machined Products is looking for experienced Shipping & Receiving Clerk. Responsible for packaging, loading, & unloading. Duties include scale counting product going to and returning from outside service centers. Assuring vehicles are. properly loaded to meet all requirements.
Primary responsibilities include:
All required paperwork and material is processed each day and shipped to the customers. Manages incoming and outgoing goods in the warehouse area. The person is self-motivated and works with minimal supervision. Consistently working in a safe manner and adheres to regulations/procedures. Complete all required safety training Load and unload cargo Manage all important documents such as shipping notice, pick slips, bills of lading etc. Complete and verify paperwork for accuracy Create outside service shipper's Education / Skills High school diploma or equivalent G.E.D. Solid knowledge of OSHA procedures 1 to 3 years of warehouse & manufacturing experience a plus Attention to detail Software system PLEX a plus Dependability 21 years or older Forklift experience a must Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist while handling product Majority of work time is spent standing, walking, & lifting Ability to work safely and comply with all safety regulations, ability to lift, push or pull 50 lbs., stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout shift. Work outdoors in all-weather elements, including extreme heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind. Perform physical tasks outside while exposed to changing weather conditions.
