What they do
A Shipping or Receiving Clerk tracks all incoming and/or outgoing shipments at a company facility and checks that shipment orders are filled correctly. Uses scanning equipment to track inventory. Works in receiving to check shipments that are primarily production materials or company supplies, or checks outgoing shipments of finished products.

Job Description

- Responsibilities
- Package machined parts securely for shipment (including wrapping, boxing, and labeling)
- Prepare shipping documents and print labels (UPS, etc.)
- Maintain organization of shipping/receiving area, general shop area, and inventory shelves
- Work closely with machinists and office staff to meet deadlines
- Operate forklifts safely (training provided if needed)
- Laser mark materials and assembly
- General Office work Qualifications
- Prior shipping/receiving or warehouse experience preferred
- Comfortable using computers and shipping software
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Dependable and organized Bonus Skills (Not Required):
- Familiarity with quality control or inspection basics
- Forklift certification
