What they do

A Shipping or Receiving Clerk tracks all incoming and/or outgoing shipments at a company facility and checks that shipment orders are filled correctly. Uses scanning equipment to track inventory. Works in receiving to check shipments that are primarily production materials or company supplies, or checks outgoing shipments of finished products.

Job Description

Build pallets for shipping and processing orders using hand/power tools Piece by piece order assembly Frequent handling of various sizes of steel components weighing up to 100 lbs Utilize technology for processing jobs and communication (Clocking, Inventory, Job Completion, ShipHawk) Load and unload all forms of trucking/shipping Assist in training employees in the work center with current knowledge base Mandatory overtime when business conditions require it Adherence to the attendance policy All other duties as required
Shift Schedule:
Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:30pm Experience in a similar role is required Material handling of steel parts/components is highly preferred Ability to follow detailed instructions and work well with others Excellent organizational skills for maintaining inventory levels and stock management Problem-solving skills for resolving shipping discrepancies and customer issues Applicants must pass a pre-employment physical, drug test, and background check as a prerequisite of employment
