Plastics Shipping Clerk - 1st Shift 10-Aug-2026 to Until Filled (CST) Plastics Warehouse 401 Division Street, Le Sueur, MN, USA 22-26 per hour DOQ Hourly Full Time Medical and dental, 401K with match, tuition/education reimbursement, Life, short term disability, paid vacation and holidays Shipping Clerk - Plastics Position Summary The Shipping Clerk is responsible for coordinating and processing the shipment of finished plastic products and materials while ensuring orders are accurate, properly documented, packaged, and shipped on schedule. This position works closely with Production, Quality, Customer Service, Purchasing, and carriers to support efficient and accurate shipping operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Prepare customer orders for shipment according to work orders, packing instructions, and customer requirements. Verify product quantities, part numbers, customer orders, and shipping documentation for accuracy. Prepare bills of lading, packing slips, shipping labels, and other required documentation. Schedule freight pickups and coordinate with trucking companies, parcel carriers, and other transportation providers. Load and unload shipments as needed using a forklift, pallet jack, or other material-handling equipment. Inspect finished goods and packaging for visible damage or discrepancies before shipment. Properly package, palletize, label, and secure plastic products for transportation. Maintain accurate inventory and shipping records. Communicate shipping priorities and issues with Production and other departments. Maintain an organized and safe shipping/receiving area. Follow company safety policies, quality procedures, and OSHA requirements. Perform other duties related to shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred. Experience in a plastics manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus. Basic computer skills and ability to learn ERP/inventory systems. Ability to read and understand work orders, packing lists, and shipping documents. Good attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to lift, move, and handle materials as required. Forklift experience/certification preferred or willingness to become certified.
Functional Requirements Consistently able to:
Manually lift and move product and materials up to 55 lbs. through regular physical exertion, including but not limited to reach forward, reach overhead, lift, carry, crouch and bend. Power grip and wrist turn, including the use of hand tools and/or steering for truck Walk, sit or stand for up to 12 hours with intermittent breaks Push / pull 100lbs. See, inspect, and evaluate product quality Read and understand written work instructions in English Work in a non-climate controlled environment, including hot and humid conditions. Walk up and down steps Climb ladders and stairs of varying height Wear task-based Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Protective Footwear; metatarsals or molders boots depending on position Hearing Protection Protective Eyewear Gloves Additional PPE may as required by specific tasks
