The Shipping, Receiving & Parts Associate is responsible for the accurate receiving, processing, stocking, and shipping of parts, accessories, and merchandise at Willeys Marine & Sport. This is a hands-on position that also supports the Parts Department by looking up parts for the Service Department, assisting customers at the parts counter, maintaining inventory and displays, and managing our eBay sales. The ideal person for this position is organized, dependable, comfortable with computers, willing to learn marine and powersports products, and able to shift between warehouse, computer, and customer-service responsibilities throughout the day.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Shipping & Receiving Receive daily UPS, Spee-Dee, freight, and vendor shipments. Check incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips. Verify quantities and inspect shipments for shortages, incorrect items, or damage. Properly receive inventory into Lightspeed DMS. Label, price, and route incoming merchandise to the correct department or location. Separate and prioritize Service Department parts. Process customer special orders and notify Parts staff when orders arrive. Prepare outgoing customer and vendor shipments. Package products properly to prevent shipping damage. Process returns and warranty shipments as directed. Maintain an organized shipping and receiving area. Keep cardboard, pallets, packing materials, and garbage cleaned up daily. Service Department Parts Support Assist technicians and Service Advisors with parts requests. Look up parts using manufacturer catalogs, online systems, and Lightspeed. Assist with Yamaha, Mercury, Honda, Polaris, Premier, Barletta, Centurion, FLOE, ShoreMaster and other product lines carried by Willeys Marine & Sport. Help identify correct parts using model, serial number, VIN, year, and application information. Pull and stage parts for Service Department jobs. Maintain accurate notes on special-order and backordered Service parts. Communicate with the Parts Manager and Service Department when there are parts availability or fitment concerns. Help keep Service parts organized so technicians can quickly locate what they need. Parts Counter & Customer Sales Assist customers at the Parts Counter when needed. Look up and sell marine and powersports parts and accessories. Answer basic customer questions and help identify the correct product. Assist customers with common maintenance items such as oil, filters, spark plugs, belts, batteries, propellers, trailer parts, dock/lift parts, and accessories. Help answer Parts Department phone calls during busy periods. Create customer parts orders and special orders. Provide friendly, professional customer service. Look for opportunities to recommend related maintenance items and accessories eBay Sales. Take ownership of Willeys Marine & Sport's eBay parts and accessory sales. Identify slow-moving, discontinued, obsolete, and excess inventory that could be sold online. Research appropriate selling prices. Create accurate eBay listings including part numbers, descriptions, fitment information, condition, pricing, and photos. Monitor active listings and make updates as needed. Answer customer questions regarding eBay items. Pull, package, and ship sold eBay items promptly. Keep eBay inventory accurate so items sold online are not also sold in-store. Process eBay returns when necessary. Work with the Parts Manager to identify additional inventory that should be listed online. Help grow eBay into a profitable outlet for excess and obsolete inventory. Stocking & Inventory Stock incoming parts and accessories in their proper locations. Keep shelves full, faced, priced, and organized. Maintain accurate bin locations. Fill holes on retail displays and move back-stock merchandise to the sales floor. Help organize overstock and warehouse inventory. Identify low-stock, misplaced, damaged, or incorrectly priced merchandise. Assist with cycle counts and annual physical inventory. Help maintain accurate inventory counts in Lightspeed. Keep commonly used Service and retail parts stocked and easy to locate.
DAILY EXPECTATIONS
The Shipping, Receiving & Parts Associate should help ensure that: Incoming freight is processed promptly. Service parts are prioritized and delivered/staged quickly. Customer special orders are properly handled. Outgoing shipments are completed on time. eBay orders are processed and shipped. Parts shelves and displays remain stocked. Shipping/receiving and warehouse areas remain clean and organized. Parts Counter and Service Department receive additional help when workload requires it.
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Dependable and able to work independently. Comfortable using computers and learning new software. Good communication and customer-service skills. Ability to multitask and adjust priorities throughout the day. Mechanical knowledge or interest in boats, pontoons, outboards, ATVs, UTVs, snowmobiles, trailers, docks, and lifts is a plus. Parts lookup experience is preferred but can be trained. eBay or online sales experience is a plus. Ability to safely lift and move parts, accessories, and packages. Valid driver's license preferred.

Service technicians get the correct parts when they need them, customers receive good support, shipments are accurate and timely, shelves stay stocked, inventory remains organized, and eBay continues to turn excess inventory into sales. Most importantly, this position should be someone who sees what needs to be done and helps get it done — whether that's unloading freight, finding a part for a technician, helping a customer at the counter, shipping an eBay order, or filling an empty shelf.
