Our client is a leading manufacturer of motion control products, including electric linear actuators, pneumatic actuators, and power transmission products used in automation across multiple industries. Job Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipper for a temporary three-month assignment within a busy Materials Department. This hands-on position is responsible for packaging, preparing, labeling, and processing outgoing shipments while ensuring materials are handled accurately and safely. The ideal candidate has some previous packaging experience, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. Extensive shipping experience is not required for this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

Package and prepare products and materials for shipment. Select appropriate packaging materials to help protect products during transportation. Label packages according to shipping and customer requirements. Verify quantities, product information, and condition of outgoing materials. Process shipments and print required shipping labels and documentation. Assist with domestic shipping activities and related paperwork. Use computers and shipping systems to process outgoing orders. Maintain accurate shipping and material records. Coordinate with team members to support accurate and timely shipments. Assist with inventory and material-handling activities as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all company safety, packaging, and shipping procedures. Perform additional Materials Department responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Previous packaging experience preferred; extensive experience is not required. Previous shipping, warehouse, materials, or manufacturing experience is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Basic computer skills with the ability to learn shipping and inventory systems. Microsoft Word and Excel experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with numbers and written instructions. Good verbal and written communication skills. Positive attitude with a willingness to learn. Dependable with consistent attendance and punctuality. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday. Ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

Working Conditions:

Hands-on manufacturing, warehouse, and materials environment. Regular interaction with packaged products, shipping materials, and warehouse equipment. Fast-paced environment requiring consistent attention to safety and accuracy. Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.
