Verify and maintain records on outgoing shipments using our ERP system, Microsoft Office, and other third-party software. Prepare items for shipment; duties include picking, assembling, addressing, and shipping finished goods; verifying, and arranging for the transportation of products. Work requires some knowledge of process variables to produce a desired outcome with supervision. Examine shipment contents and compare them with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy. Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials. Prepare materials/items for shipping with a proficient level of accuracy using the scanning process. Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes. Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications. Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials. Determine shipping methods, routes, or rates for materials to be shipped. Compute amounts, such as space available, shipping, storage, or demurrage charges, using computer or a price list. Capable of picking orders in the warehouse with a high level of accuracy using the scanning process. Maintains hazardous certification provided by Cortec Corporation Contribute to a safe and respectful work environment by complying with all safety rules, including wearing the required PPE. Other related duties as assigned.
