Job Description

Shipping & Quality Clerk Summary The primary job function for the Shipping & Quality clerk is to manage the accurate, safe and timely processing of incoming/outgoing goods while ensuring products meet quality standards. Key daily duties would include performing in-process inspections on parts, inspections on finished parts, inspecting shipments for damage, preparing, packaging, and labeling products, maintaining inventory accuracy, raw material handling and prepping such as cutting, and coordinating with carriers and documenting all transactions. Essential Functions
    Shipping & Logistics:
    Package and label products, create shipping documents (bills of lading and/or packing lists), and arrange carrier pickups to ensure on-time delivery.
      Quality Inspection:
      Inspect incoming materials and outgoing finished goods for damage, defects, and conformity to specifications (such as ISO standards or customer requirements).
        Receiving & Inventory:
        Unload trucks, verify packing slips against purchase orders, and update inventory levels as needed in ERP system.
          Documentation & Reporting:
          Maintain records of incoming & outgoing shipments, inventory and quality issues.
            Warehouse Safety:
            Maintain a clean, organized and safe warehouse/production floor environment, utilizing equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts.
              Material Handling:
              The process of moving, storing, and staging raw materials and products throughout the production process from receiving raw material to moving finished goods. Also includes prepping raw materials for production, including cutting and stacking raw material. Required Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must have strong organizational, communication and multitasking skills.
              The qualifications may include:
              • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
              • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in their daily tasks.
              • Ability to operate Microsoft software in addition to knowing and/or learning an ERP software for data entry.
              • Strong problem-solving skills to handle challenges and troubleshoot minor issues with office equipment and software.
              • Ability of operate a forklift and/or pallet jack.
              • Prior experience in shipping, logistics, warehousing or quality control are preferred. General Skill Requirements

              • Required to sit at desk, stand, walk, use hands and arms to operate office equipment

              From $16.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
