Job Description

SUMMARY:
The Storeroom Receiving & Inventory Clerk is responsible for performing ongoing tasks associated with handling parts such as receiving, stocking, issuing, and delivery of parts as well cycle inventory counting to maintain inventory levels.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Communicate with corporate purchasing agent and vendors, both verbally and in writing, on matter relating to supplies. Issue/review requisitions and follow up on purchase orders. Fill orders and requisitions with supplies upon proper authorization. Make sure packing materials for production, shipping, (wood, banding, clips, strings, wire, wire tag holders), etc. is available. Help employees in storeroom with finding parts delivered to parts room in a timely fashion. Ensure all employees and mechanics sign out parts taken out of storeroom. Check parts against PO's and put into stock or deliver to appropriate person. Accurately enter the receiving information into the computer. Enter all issues into the computer accurately. Send out UPS, FedEx, etc. when required. Keep isles clean and clear of boxes and parts. File paperwork. Straighten, organize storeroom daily. Daily inventory counts of parts taken out of storeroom overnight. Perform cycle counts and make necessary adjustments. Receives hazardous chemicals and delivers them to users in original containers. Other duties as assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS
Accurate and organized, with a high level of attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated sound judgment and decision-making abilities. Ability to work cooperatively with others to ensure constructive and productive business relationships and cross-functional collaboration. Strong knowledge of basic computer operations and databases, and proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma At least 1 year of experience as a storeroom clerk in a manufacturing environment. Previous steel industry experience is a plus.
