Shipping Clerk 1002 South Glenstone Avenue, Springfield, MO 65804 From $17 an hour - Part-time From $17 an hour - Part-time Shipping Clerk Ship It Position Summary Ship It is seeking a part-time Shipping Clerk to support the daily operations of a full-service shipping center offering USPS, UPS, and FedEx services. This position plays an important role in assisting customers with shipping needs, preparing packages for shipment, processing transactions, and ensuring excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a shipping store, mailing center, retail shipping operation, or similar customer service environment. The successful candidate will be comfortable learning shipping software systems, working with multiple carriers, handling package processing, and providing professional and friendly service to customers. This position offers the opportunity to work in a positive, team-oriented environment while supporting the mission of the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks (BCFO). Revenue generated through Ship It helps support BCFO's efforts to assist local individuals and families facing breast cancer-related challenges throughout southwest Missouri. Position Details

- Approximately 20 hours per week
- Starting wage: $17.00 per hour
- Flexible scheduling may be available
- Located at 1002 S. Glenstone Avenue Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist customers with USPS, UPS, and FedEx shipping services.
- Prepare packages for shipment, including packaging, labeling, and documentation.
- Process shipping transactions accurately using company software systems.
- Learn and utilize carrier-specific shipping platforms and procedures.
- Provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service.
- Answer customer questions regarding shipping options, rates, delivery times, and tracking information.
- Receive and process incoming packages and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions and shipments.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of shipping supplies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
- Handle cash, credit card, and electronic payment transactions accurately.
- Follow established procedures regarding package acceptance, shipping regulations, and carrier requirements.
- Support promotional activities and customer outreach efforts as needed.
- Assist with other office and customer service duties as assigned. Qualifications
- Previous experience in a shipping store, mailing center, retail shipping operation, or related customer service environment preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to learn and effectively utilize shipping software systems.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
